It connects directly inside a compatible HME base station or timer system. It interfaces with an underground inductive loop wire installed in the drive-thru lane to detect vehicle presence producing a tone in crew member headsets and activating drive-thru timers at designated detection points such as the menu board, cashier window, and present window.
The VDB102 is a direct upgrade replacement for the earlier VDB101 board and installs easily onto three plastic standoffs inside the base station with no soldering or special tools required. A built-in LED indicator lights when a vehicle is detected over the loop, making confirmation of proper operation quick and straightforward. The HME VDB102 Internal Vehicle Detector Board G27470 Drive-Thru Loop Sensor is compatible with the HME Ion IQ 6000, 6100, 6200 and 6700 systems as well as the HME EOS model base station. This product ships with a WIR-00004 Interconnect cable.
