The PAR G5 XT1 Vehicle Detector Board is a circuit board that plugs into a PAR G5 or XT1 Base station internally to enable inductive loop vehicle detection.This system is used primarily in quick-service restaurants and other drive-thru environments to alert staff of a customer’s arrival.
How the system functions:
The detector board is part of a larger system that requires several components to work effectively.Â
- Inductive loop: A wire loop is installed in the pavement near the menu board or window.
- Base station: The detector board plugs into the PAR G5 Base Station, which is the central communication hub.
- Headset system: The base station is connected wirelessly to the PAR G5 headsets, alerting the employee of the vehicle’s presence with a sound or vibration.
